Promise # 1

We make our products using TENCEL™ Modal material. Our material is made from sustainably harvested beech trees and made in sustainable factories, located in the heart of Colombia.

TENCEL™ Modal fabric is an ultra-soft fiber made from beech trees. It is stretchy, absorbent, and beyond breathable, making it the perfect foundation for our comfortable mastectomy bras and post-surgical bras. It is cool to the touch and moisture-wicking, yet will offer the support you need without irritating your sensitive skin post-surgery or scars.

Due to the combination of raw material and cellulose, this fabric is considered a semi-synthetic that is then developed into a fiber through an environmentally conscious chemical treating process. At the end of the process, the modal produces an unbeatable silky soft quality that, unlike other stretch fabrics, will not lose its shape or quality when washed.

Promise # 1 that AnaOno has made to be sustainable and give back to the earth

Promise # 2

For every beech tree we harvest, we plant another one in its place. We source our beech trees in Colombia. The trees are natural and a sustainable source for our products, as they do not require much to really any artificial irrigation. Additionally, modal  has been certified as both biodegradable and compostable.

What exactly does that mean? Biodegradation is the breakdown of an organic matter by microorganisms, such as fungi or bacteria. In simpler terms, the materials are able to disintegrate, without leaving a trace, which is less harmful to the environment.

AnaOno promise # 2 to plant a tree for every beech tree that we harvest

Promise # 3

We recycle water so you don't have to. All of out water runoff is put through 3 different filtration systems and used to water the factory garden. We strive on making sure that we give back to the environment in anyway that we can, as we know that the fashion industry itself is one of the leading users in water waste.

By filtering our water to make it usable again for out garden, we aren't wasting any water. Why is recycling water so important to the environment? Water recycling can decrease the diversion of freshwater from sensitive ecosystems and reduces the waste sent to landfills and incinerators.

Promise # 3 anaono recycles water so you dont have to

Promise # 4

We use biodegradable, recyclable and reusable packaging. The most important benefit for using biodegradable packaging is the potential to reduce overall waste in the fashion industry. Additionally, our bags are reusable, so you can use them to store items or just it as a cute tote to use while shopping.

Recycling reduced the amount of waste that is sent to landfills and incinerators. Additionally, it helps prevent pollution and reduced greenhouse gases that are released into the air.

The benefit of using reusable packaging is not only good for the environment, but also gives you the ability to use the bag for other purposes. Our new Lg x AO pajama tote is perfect for grocery shopping, a purse, going for a walk or really anything that you could think of! Using reusable bags helps reduce the amount of waste such as plastic packaging, while also giving you a new cute souvenir.
