HER Story, Made By Women, For Women

Our offerings at HER Story consist of women’s apparel and accessories, intimates, home décor, self-care and gifts that reflect individuality + personal style. We carefully curate a selection of items that inspire joy, that are rich with symbolism and inspire you to allow you to shop mindfully with intention.

The products we curate across all categories have a story – stories that we hope will empower women and help them feel good about who they are.

But more importantly - we share the stories of the women behind the brand. Who creates this product + why do they do what they do. She creates…..She uses…..She believes……We provide a marketplace for products that are made by women, for women, or supporting other women in business. We are a place to celebrate women and the products they create.

    A Mother-Daughter Duo

"HER Story is a family business ran by mother-daughter duo, Susan and Ciara Morreale. Susan began her journey on Pine Ave, in Niagara Falls, NY, as Lotions & Potions, when Ciara was born - over 30 years ago. She wanted to create a space to for women to come + shop, feel beautiful, while taking care of themselves inside + out. “A look good, feel good store.” And that is exactly what she created.

Over the years + many location changes - one thing remained consistent - their commitment to the spirit of women. + the desire to share stories in a way that inspires + connects other women. They were always saying to their customers…. “You have to hear HER story….”

Throughout that journey, Lotions + Potions turned into so much more than just a bath + body shop —it grew into HER Story, a lifestyle brand that is a true embodiment of the lifestyle that Sue + Ciara cultivate in their own lives."

"Our store is all about looking good + feeling good. I have always loved everything lacey, so when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I tried to find a bra that was beautiful as well as comfortable -- and ended up finding Ana Ono. We wanted to be able to offer these to women -- making sure everyone is able to feel beautiful in their own skin. " - Susan

Creating a Positive Experience For Women

We feel so honored to get to facilitate women feeling beautiful and comfortable in their own skin. As a breast cancer survivor myself, and experiencing the process of shopping for mastectomy products, I really wanted to be able to create a positive experience for women looking for bras. From the time they enter our shop, to the fitting, to helping them with any other aspects of their journey -- we love hearing women's stories and being a part of it.

    Providing Hope & Strength

This is a hard one -- there are too many stories, and each one has touched us in some way. I think for me, what is really impactful, is actually being able to feel and understand where they are at, while also being able to provide even a little bit of hope and strength -- because I was there. Each of these women's stories are now a part of our story.

The Number One Question About Mastectomy Bras

Are they comfortable? YES! 100 times yes. I think that everyone and anyone would want to wear one of the AnaOno bras.

Take One Step At A Time

My advice would be that it is okay to feel anxious. It is okay to feel scared or nervous. Those are real and valid feelings - it is a whole new world and a vulnerable experience. Let yourself feel your feelings. Don't be hard on yourself. That being said, remember that there are so many women out there who are there to support you and help you on your journey. You aren't alone.

Take one step at a time. I would recommend starting with a simple search. Find out what mastectomy boutiques are available in your area. Write down any and all questions that you may have. Give them a call, speak to an employee. This is what they are for, and they will be able to walk you through what to expect.

When you come for a fitting at HER Story, we will walk you over to the tea bar, and let you choose one of our Teamotions teas to sip on while you tell us your story. We want to personalize your experience and your fitting, so learning more about your story is so important to us. We want you to have a beautiful, calming, relaxing experience when you are here -- our sanctuary space is your sanctuary space.

We Created a Safe Space for HER Story

It means so much to us that our customers trust us -- whether it is what to wear, what to eat, where to go, we want to be able to help guide them on their journey in all aspects.

We truly feel grateful to be able to share stories of not just the women whose products we carry, but to be able to be a safe space for our customers to share their own stories.
