In REAL Life

In REAL Life is a program powered by BRCAStrong, which was started in honor of La'kesha Gordon. The programs goal is to provide post-mastectomy garments, to those in need. BRCAStrong's overall mission is to alleviate the emotional and financial burdens of women facing breast and/or gynecological cancer through advocacy, direct assistance, empowerment and events. Upon approval, you will receive a free AnaOno bra, powered through In REAL Life. This program is available to those with a genetic disposition and/or breast cancer diagnosis and you must also live in the United States.

How to apply

If you or someone you know is in need of a mastectomy bra and has a genetic disposition and/or a breast cancer diagnosis, please apply for a donated bra below.

To apply, simply fill out our form and tell us a bit about yourself, and why you are hoping for a sponsored bra and how it would help you.

After we have received your application, it will be reviewed on a monthly bases. If you qualify, we will reach out to you to begin your order process.

Each month we receive more requests than we can fulfill, as BRCAStrong's availability is limited by the funds and donations received during the month of October.

BRCAStrong is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization aimed at supporting women who have been affected by breast cancer and gynecological cancers regardless of predisposition to a hereditary cancer. Financial support to routine monitoring or preventative surgery for Previvors, Thrivers, and Survivors throughout the journey towards health, positive self-image, and inspired living

Over the years, BRCAStrong has evolved into a sisterhood of Previvors, Thrivers and Survivors that offers education, information, support, and advocacy for women who are uninsured or underinsured. Support comes in all forms from premastectomy care packages to post-mastectomy garments, gynecological care packages and other treatment necessities; and is provided at zero cost to recipients. BRCAStrong has proudly assisted over 3000 women with care packages and garments in 2023.

Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are automatically approved, as this program is designated to assist those in financial distress and need.
