After having a mastectomy, breast cancer patients and survivors may find their favorite bras do not fit anymore. While there's no denying how uplifting retail therapy can be post-mastectomy, cancer is already as expensive as it is, and buying new bras on top of that can be expensive and stressful. 

Luckily, Pink Warrior Advocates (PWA) and AnaOno have been providing donated bras to breast cancer patients in need in an effort to ease some of the financial strain many breast cancer patients face through our Bra Assistance Program.

Powered by PWA, the sponsored bra program with AnaOno helps women in need get comfortable bras post-surgery free of charge. 

We know first-hand that the cost of cancer is high and can put you under a lot of financial strain, so oftentimes, finding a comfortable bra gets put on the back-burner. We are firm believers, however, that having a comfortable mastectomy bra not only helps you heal mentally but physically, as well. Please note that sponsored bras are available to U.S. residents only and are for people who are in financial distress and going through difficult recoveries. 

To receive a free bra thanks to the sponsored bra program, all you need to do is:

Things to Know About your Free Mastectomy Bra

A mastectomy bra is an important aspect of your recovery, so knowing what features you’ll need is essential. Support and comfort are crucial, and other features you’ll want to look out for are:

• Front Closure: AnaOno bras have easy-to-use front clasps that make putting on and taking off your bra easy after surgery when your mobility is limited.
• Adjustable Clasps: You may swell after surgery, so AnaOno bras have adjustable clasps so that you can make your bra tighter or looser with ease.

Insurance coverage for mastectomy bras and breast forms varies depending on your insurance provider and individual plan. Some insurance plans may cover eligible mastectomy bras, including products billed under HCPCS code L8000, but coverage, reimbursement, and provider requirements can differ.
